IEC Lithium Battery Name Meaning CR123A

CR123A is a 2/3A size lithium manganese battery, also called 123.  CR123A is its popular model. Popular models are models named by different countries, regions and even companies,familiar with consumers in certain regions or countries during long-term use. In addition to the popular models, there are also standard models of IEC. The IEC model of the CR123A battery is CR17335, which represents a lithium manganese column battery with a diameter of 17 mm and a height of 33.5 mm.

IEC standard naming CR17335, C- indicates a chemical battery system using lithium metal as the negative electrode and manganese dioxide as the positive electrode. R- indicates that the shape of the battery is cylindrical, and if it is square, F is replaced.

For R-shaped batteries:
a. When the height is less than 10 mm, the size is represented by a four-digit integer. The first two digits represent the integer value of the diameter, and the decimal point and the following digits are not represented. When the diameter is less than 10 mm, the tenth position is “0”. b. When the diameter is less than 10 mm, the tenth position is “0”. The last few digits indicate the height, including a single digit after the decimal point, but the decimal point is not represented.
